**Dear Sir/Madam,**

I respectfully wish to ask for clarification regarding the reason for my visa denial under Section 214(b). From my understanding, this section refers to an applicant’s failure to demonstrate sufficient ties to their home country. However, I believe my application and supporting documents clearly show that I have strong and compelling ties to Romania – including financial stability (personal savings of €8, 575), family assets, full-time enrollment in two university programs, close relationships with my parents and fiancée, and legally binding obligations related to my upcoming wedding in September.

I asked every time for further information specific to my refusal because I believe I have the required ties, yet I never received any response...

Additionally, I cannot help but wonder whether the mention of my intention to visit several Pentecostal churches during my stay in the United States may have been misunderstood or misinterpreted in a negative way. I deeply respect the United States for its long-standing commitment to religious freedom, and I would be sincerely disappointed to think that my openness about my faith could have affected the evaluation of my application. My religious identity is a genuine part of who I am and was included to provide a fuller understanding of my motivations for travel, not to raise concern.

Given all this, I kindly ask whether I misunderstood the criteria for demonstrating "ties" to one’s home country, since my situation appears to meet those requirements. I am seeking clarity so I may better understand how to improve my application, especially considering I have now been refused twice.

I need to go to Jason’s wedding, and he will come to mine as well.

This is the message I brought with me to the interview, along with supporting documents:

Subject: B2 Tourist Visa – Letter of Intent**

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is..., and I am currently a full-time student enrolled in two academic programs at the University of Oradea, Romania. I study Musical Pedagogy and Choral Conducting at the Faculty of Arts (Department of Music), and Computer Science at the Faculty of Informatics and Sciences (Department of Mathematics and Computer Science).

I am an accordionist and performing artist, with a deep passion for the instrument’s history and craftsmanship. The United States is historically known as the "Golden Era of the Accordion," a period from the 1940s to 1960s when major Italian accordion manufacturers relocated there and produced some of the finest instruments ever made. One of the most important goals of my trip is to visit Petosa Accordions, a renowned accordion manufacturer and store located at 19503 56th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA, approximately 10 to 15 minutes from Bothell, where I will be staying. Petosa is North America’s only family-owned accordion factory, and visiting their showroom and workshop is essential for my artistic and professional development.

I am applying for a B2 tourist visa to visit the United States from June 30th to September 1st for purposes of tourism, cultural exploration, and personal growth. During my stay, I plan to visit a friend in Bothell, Seattle, WA, who has kindly offered to host me. I will cover all travel and daily expenses personally; I have documented savings of €8, 575.

In addition, after scheduling my visa appointment, I was invited to attend the wedding of Jason... and his fiancée, which will take place on August 3rd in California. Although we are not considered immediate or even distant relatives by legal definition (my grandmother is a cousin of Jason's mother), we have a very close and longstanding family relationship. Jason’s family has visited Romania frequently, and we have spent significant time together over the years, especially with his parents. Several mutual cousins from London will also be attending the wedding. This is an important personal event and a rare occasion for me to reconnect with extended family friends across continents, which I am grateful to be a part of during my trip.

My itinerary also includes visits to several nature parks and cultural landmarks, such as the Seattle Space Needle and scenic areas for bike trails and hiking. I am deeply passionate about nature, music, and art, and I believe this experience will enrich both my personal and professional development.

Beyond music and nature, I am also drawn to the American spirit of freedom, creativity, and opportunity. One of my lifelong dreams is to experience the so-called "American Dream" firsthand and to better understand the values and cultural dynamics that have inspired so many around the world.

Additionally, I am a very religious person, and an important part of my trip involves visiting several conservative Pentecostal churches in the U.S. I am particularly interested in attending worship services where the accordion is used as an instrument of praise – a tradition that aligns closely with my spiritual and musical identity.

I would also like to emphasize that I have strong and well-documented ties to Romania. I have submitted as supporting documents the cadastral records (property deeds) for two apartments and two house plots owned by my parents, as well as copies of their Romanian national ID cards. Even though the properties are legally under my parents’ names, these assets ultimately remain in the family and will naturally pass on to me in the future. They represent long-term financial stability and a strong reason for me to return to Romania. In addition, certain assets such as a family car are registered under my parents’ names for practical reasons (e.g., lower insurance costs), but they are in active use by me. All of this, combined with my personal savings, confirms that I come from a financially secure family and have meaningful material and emotional ties to my home country.

I am scheduled to return to Romania by September 1st in order to prepare for the legal and administrative steps required before my upcoming marriage. Romanian civil law mandates that couples submit official documents and undergo medical examinations no later than 10 days before the civil ceremony. My civil marriage is scheduled for September 19th, requiring my presence in Romania by September 8th–9th at the latest. Additionally, my religious wedding ceremony is planned for September 21st.

These legal and personal obligations, along with academic responsibilities such as exam retakes and grade improvements in early September, are strong and verifiable indicators of my intent to return to Romania as scheduled.

Thank you for considering my application. I fully respect and intend to comply with all U.S. immigration regulations and will return to Romania as planned.

Sincerely,
