1. Conditions for the Unaccompanied Minor Service: UM

The Unaccompanied Minor Service is mandatory for children between 5 and 11 years of age (11 + 364 days) who wish to travel alone. The service costs €35 each way on national flights and €55 each way on international and Canary Islands flights. This service must be booked at least 24 hours before departure. When you make a Vueling booking, the child will be allocated the most suitable seat for their in-flight care. This seat cannot be changed. When necessary, it may only be changed by cabin crew or check-in staff.

2. Unaccompanied minor form

On the flight confirmation page, there's a button to let you print out the form in PDF format. If you do not have the appropriate PDF reader, you can download it from the same page. You must print out all the corresponding copies.

By default, 3 copies each way per child will be printed. Each copy must be filled out with the child's details along with those of the father/mother or legal guardian that were provided when the booking was made. The form must also include the details of the person accompanying the child on the day of departure and the person collecting the child upon arrival. All copies must be signed by the father/mother or legal guardian. Photocopies are not accepted.

Once the booking has been made, you can access the form via the booking confirmation email, via the web section "Manage your booking" or at airport check-in desks. If you wish, you can also request that the form be re-sent via our Customer Services.

3. Obligations on the part of the father/mother or guardian.

The father/mother or guardian agrees to carry out the necessary steps so that the child will be accompanied to the departure airport and collected upon arrival by the persons stated on the form.

He/she must ensure that the child is carrying all the required documentation for the escort service and for entering the country of destination.

He/she agrees to take charge of the child in the event that the person assigned on the form is not awaiting them upon arrival or, otherwise, he/she authorises Vueling to return the child to his or her point of origin and agree to compensate and reimburse the company for all expenses incurred thereby.

He/she shall bear any additional expense or injury caused to third parties by the child, whether in flight or during boarding and disembarking.

Finally, he/she must be available by way of the contact telephone number at all times until the child has been collected at the destination

4. Obligations of the person accompanying the child on departure

The person accompanying the child on departure must be the same as stated on the form and must present the following documentation at check-in:

ID document (Passport or travel document):
Photocopy of the parent or guardian's passport or travel document;
The child's passport or travel document;
All 3 copies of the form filled out and signed by the child's parent or guardian.

The person accompanying the child must remain at the airport until the plane has taken off.
Vueling assumes responsibility for the child only from the time when he/she checks in at the airport and the agent instructed by Vueling has checked that the documentation enabling the child to travel is both complete and valid.

5. Obligations of the person collecting the child upon arrival

The person collecting the child upon arrival must be the same person as stated on the form and must have due proof of identity (Passport or Identity Card). He/she must also sign two copies of the form: one copy for the destination airport and one copy for the child.
